Home Tweet Home Applique Class

Are you a familiar with the freezer paper hand applique technique and are ready to learn more?  Then this is the class for you!  Using the pattern Home Tweet Home we will cover reverse applique, tiny circles,  Ultrasuede, complex piecing, ¼ inch bias stems, skinny skinny stems, and lots more!  This full day class is designed to inspire and give you confidence to create beautiful hand appliqued projects.  Class fee includes:  pattern and freezer paper copies

Regular Starch (NOT heavy duty) with small container (aerosol or non -aerosol)
Roxanne's Glue Baste It – I use a Dritz Longarm micro-tip applicator bottle to dispense glue
Stiletto- one with a good sharp metal point that feels comfortable to you
Brush- 1⁄4 inch angled paint brush from Michaels/Hobby Lobby etc.
Small craft iron- Clover wedge iron great if you own one (discontinued) or similar
Cheri's Cool Tool – this is a MUST HAVE for class!
Silicone hot pad- to put irons on in class
Flower head pins
Serrated scissors for fabric – Kai purple handle or Karen Kay Buckley middle size - light blue
handle or similar
Scissors for paper: curved and straight scissors in a variety of sizes. (I use Kai 4 inch straight
and curved, and Kai 5 1/2 curved)
Applique Scissors- straight, sharp tip
Clover 1/4 bias maker (it MUST be the green one-NOT the purple one)
Medium sizes wool mat with a piece of scrap fabric covering the top
Cutting mat, rotary cutter, and any size long ruler
1 – 12x12 inch piece of foam core board (Walmart/Michaels)
Parchment paper- roll or pre-cut sheets- you will need (1) piece measuring 12x12 in
Ultra-fine sharpie or micron pen- any color
Pencil
Emory board (fingernail file)
Aleen's OK to Wash It – discontinued. Bring to class if you have it.
Clover Wonder Clips- optional
Ott Light – if desired
