Custom Quilted Sneakers Workshop

NEW DATE ADDED! Sat. July 19th!

Instructor: Nelda Pannell | H.O.T. Creative Designs

Class Description

Join us for a full day of creativity and fun as you design and sew your own custom quilted sneakers! With the guidance of Nelda Pannell you'll create one-of-a-kind shoes while learning key sewing techniques. This class will guide you step-by-step in crafting a wearable piece of quilty art!

Workshop Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Kit: Your registration includes soles (available in black or white), patterns, thread, needles, grommets, laces, and lace guides. All necessary tools, except those specified on "What You Need to Bring" section, will be provided.

  • Design Flexibility: Choose between high-top or low-top sneakers, regardless of sole color, to craft footwear that matches your aesthetic.

  • Unique Creation: Walk away with a one-of-a-kind pair of sneakers that no one else owns, handcrafted by you.

Homework:

Make a minimum 1/3 yd quilted fabric sandwich—outer shoe fabric, Soft n' Stable or Bosal R Form in the middle, and inner shoe fabric. If you plan to fussy cut, or wear an US Size 9.5 (EU size 41) or larger, you should increase the pre-quilted sandwich size to 1/2 yd.

Precut and prepare ALL fabrics as noted above. There will NOT be time to cut in class.

This is an all-day class, so be sure to bring a sack lunch and any snacks or drinks you might need!
