Instructor Bio:
Anne Colvin Mosher
Sewing has been an important part of Anne Colvin Mosher's life since the age of four, when her mother removed the thread from her black Singer sewing machine and allowed Anne to stitch designs on scraps of paper. Anne advanced to sewing doll clothes, 4-H projects, and eventually her own wardrobe. Growing up on a Kansas farm in a Mennonite family, quilting was an ongoing activity, so when Anne married and had two children, she began making quilts. Soon the beds were all covered and Anne turned her attention to her real love - sewing clothes, using her quilting heritage to create unique one-of-a-kind garments.
In 1988, while working and teaching in a local quilt store, Anne designed a quilted roses collar. Encouraged by her friends, she published her first pattern and named her new company A Quilter's Wardrobe. The company continued to publish more than thirty-five garment patterns. Anne has competed and been awarded prizes in many local and national quilted garment competitions and she still loves sewing clothes.
